New and Exciting Things to Celebrate!

Joy in the little things, and sometimes huge!

January 2009

December 2008

Brenden meets his last goal in "Flexibilty"and "Concepts" from Stage 2. (ready for Stage 3!) He only has a few left to move totally to Stage 3!

The Playroom gets a much needed makeover! Things added are a huge dry-erase broad, exercise balls, among many new toys! It is also JUST a playroom now! Bu-bye bed! Yay more room!

Brenden starts to use different toys as "swords" for sword fight roleplay. He also enjoys slashing and kicking and watching his playmate scream and roll over in agony, and making the clanking sounds why fighting. (boys....)

Brenden starts to answer the door when he hears a knock or the door bell, and usually gives a great "Hi!" as a greeting.

It takes only two presents, and Brenden well has the grasp of what presents are all about!

November/2008

Brenden consistantly starts using 2 words sets more then one word sets both inside and outside the playroom.

Brenden is interactive 42 minutes out of an hour with Mom! (mom sure was pooped!)

Team starts to notice that Brenden is more interactive and talking much more.

October/2008

Brenden starts a game with mom randomly that they have never played before; throwing one of her hair rubberbands at mom unexpectedly. Then he waits laughing for mom to look at him and throw it back. Completely spontaneous!

Brenden starts to intiate chase with his 2 yr old sister Aralynn. They now play this on a normal basis for 10-20 minutes, and switch roles non-stop while laughing. Brenden tries his hardest to say "Come get me baby!" and "Chase me!".. He also uses "Come on let's go!"

Brenden throughout the month has started to eat more meats. He has tried chicken hotdogs, pork loin, chicken! He even tried broccolli!!

Brenden takes all of his vitamins and supplements in pill form. No more hiding for mom!

Brenden finally allows mom and Sandy to set up the train track in the playroom a different way then normal!

September/2008

Brenden and Mom have thier first ever back and forth conversation! Brenden: "Help please, shoes.." (Hands shoes to mom)Mom: "Oh sure! I would love to help you. Thank you for asking me!" (Mom puts shoes on) Brenden: "Thanks!" (walks away with a smile)

Brenden begins to use "stop" also instead of "no" to express something he doesn't want.

Brenden answers Sandy with a calm "no" after being asked if he wanted a different train to play with.

Brenden gives a huge 10 second look to Jennifer during playing "Silly Faces"

Brenden says "Hi Sandy!" and "Bye Jen" totally on his own.

Brenden starts to use three word sets more often.

Brenden uses his biggest sentence so far: "Hey look! I see ice cream! I want ICE CREAM!"
